Privacy Policy
Last updated · 20 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Maison OJ (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit maison-oj.com or get in touch with us. We are the data controller for the personal data described below, and we process it in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who we are
Maison OJ is a brand and web design studio based in Paris, France. For any question about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@maison-oj.com.
2. What data we collect
We only collect what we need to reply to you and run this website.
- When you contact us — through the contact form or by email: your name, email address and the content of your message (including any project details you choose to share).
- When you book a call — our scheduling is handled by Calendly. The details you enter there (such as your name, email and chosen time) are processed by Calendly on our behalf.
- Technical data — our hosting provider (Google Firebase Hosting) automatically records limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in standard server logs used to deliver and secure the site.
3. Cookies & tracking
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other sites. Because of this, no cookie consent banner is required to browse the site. If you open our Calendly booking page or follow a link to another service (for example Behance), that third party’s own cookies and privacy policy apply on their pages.
4. Why we use your data & our legal basis
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss a possible project — legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To operate, deliver and secure the website — legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe, functioning site.
5. Who we share it with
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with the trusted service providers that help us operate, and only as needed:
- Google (Firebase Hosting) — hosts the website and processes server logs.
- Calendly — handles call bookings when you use them.
These providers act as our processors or under their own terms, and may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, it is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking details only for as long as needed to respond and to manage our working relationship, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. When it is no longer needed, we delete it.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict or object to our processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.
To exercise any of these, email us at hello@maison-oj.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in France, that is the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
8. Children
This website and our services are aimed at businesses and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the current version.
